Developmental Center


Effective today the Developmental Center has suspended all ITP home visits and services at the Developmental Center for two weeks starting March 16-March 27. During this time period ITP staff will be working on alternative ways to provide consultative services to families such as Facetime and phone conversations if desired. Families who have been scheduled for assessments in the upcoming two weeks will be contacted in regards to rescheduling.

Please be patient with us as this is uncharted waters and hiccups are to be expected. We apologize for the disruption in services but our intent to suspend services is to stop the spread of the COVID-19 Virus and return to providing in-home visits as soon as possible. We will continue to provide updates and information as they become available.

The Frederick County Developmental Center Children’s Dental Clinic has suspended all dental services from March 16 – March 27. If you had a scheduled appointment between those dates; the clinic will contact you to reschedule. The Frederick County Developmental Center (FCDC) provides specialized health and education-related services that positively impact children, their families and eligible adults in their daily lives.


The Audiology Program provides quality pediatric audiology services for:


The Dental Program provides pediatric dental care for uninsured and underinsured children under 18 years of age in Frederick County.

Infants & Toddlers Program

The Infants and Toddlers Program provides services and support for families of children birth through 36 months of age who have, or may have, developmental delays, disabilities or special health needs.


The Respite Program provides funding of respite services for children with special healthcare needs and their families.

School Based Services

The School Based Program provides Occupational and Physical Therapy to children enrolled in Frederick County Public Schools.
