Behavioral Health Services Community Organized Recovery Efforts (CORE)
This is an opportunity to be part of a new, cutting edge model working with individuals recovering from substance abuse disorders. Join an innovative program known as CORE, a Recovery Oriented System of Care (ROSC), a national trend in working with people seeking or in recovery. CORE is seeking volunteers to work in the following areas:
Recovery Coach - Persons with experience and knowledge of addictions guiding and mentoring people seeking or active in recovery
Telephone Recovery Support - Making follow-up phone contacts with participants of the ROSC program to offer support and provide information on ROSC functions
Recovery Center Support - Participate in running recovery center activities, classes, groups, social functions, and providing administrative support
Special Events - Participate in planning and working at special events for CORE participants
The Prevention Program is recruiting volunteers to assist in program activities. We have many opportunities including health fair booths and day camps that need to be set up and monitored, several coalitions that need members and many other opportunities for you to help out.
