Tobacco Merchant Education Mini-Grants Now Available:

The Frederick County Health Department’s Tobacco Sales Compliance Program invites community organizations to apply for a Tobacco Merchant Education mini-grant.  Grants of up to $2,450.00 are being made available to community organizations in Frederick County to be used to conduct visits to tobacco merchants to provide education regarding the laws related to tobacco sales, including e-cigarettes. All funded activities must be completed by Thursday, December 31, 2020. The application deadline is Monday, September 28, 2020.  Please see documents below:

The Behavior Health Services- Substance Abuse Prevention staff work to build a healthier community for Frederick County residents by providing programs, and activities to prevent alcohol, opioid, tobacco, and other drug use. Our programs and services include:

  • Alcohol Misuse Prevention Initiative
  • Opioid Misuse Prevention Program
  • "Stay In The Know" Youth Campaign
  • Merchant Sales Compliance Initiative
  • Tobacco Prevention and Cessation Program
