  3. Overdose Response Training/Naloxone

    On Thursday, November 15, British investigative journalist Chris McGreal, in conversation with local journalist Gina Gallucci White, will discuss his new book, AMERICAN OVERDOSE, a comprehensive portrait of a uniquely American epidemic—devastating in its findings and damning in its conclusions. Individuals who wish to participate in Overdose Response Training should arrive at 6:30 pm. Jay Hessler from the Frederick County Health Department’s Behavioral Health Division will offer information on how to prevent, identify, and respond to opioid overdoses. Assistance in obtaining Narcan will be provided at the end of the training. Free event; no registration required. Books will be available for purchase and signing at the event. Pre-order your copy of AMERICAN OVERDOSE (click Tickets link above), and Curious Iguana will donate $5 from each book sold to Wells House@Gale Recovery in Frederick.
