FREDERICK, MD -- The Frederick County Health Care Coalition, with support from the Frederick County Health Department and Frederick Regional Health System, has developed a Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA). This assessment provides data on the health of Frederick County residents and resources available to address health issues. Community members are invited to review the draft CHNA and provide feedback.
A draft of the 2019 Community Health Needs Assessment is available for review online at: health.frederickcountymd.gov/CHNA2019. Comments can be submitted through this link www.surveymonkey.com/r/FC2019CHNA from April 1-30, 2019. A final version of the CHNA will be made available through the same link in May 2019.
The CHNA provides an overview of the process of assessing the health of the community, prioritizing health needs, and selecting the top priorities for the next three years. The report contains data about our length of life, quality of life, socio-economic factors, physical environment, and health behaviors. The CHNA can be used as a reference for interested community individuals and organizations to provide data on the current status of health in Frederick County.
Local Health Improvement Planning work groups are currently working on the selected priorities and more information on the Local Health Improvement Process is available at health.frederickcountymd.gov/LHIP.
