On February 20, 2017, the following divisions at the Health Department will be closed for the holiday: Administration (includes birth and death certificate services), Behavioral Health Services, Community Health Services (includes WIC services), Environmental Health, Health Care Connection & Preparedness (includes health insurance enrollment services), and School Health. These divisions will be open unless announced otherwise: Audiology Services, the Dental Program, and the Infants & Toddlers Program.

The Frederick County Health Care Coalition Board of Directors invites you to attend an evening presentation of the Local Health Improvement Action Plans developed by Work Groups formed to address the top 3 priorities for local health improvement established during a Summit in September. The priorities are Adverse Childhood Experiences, Behavioral Health and Senior Support. Work Group members will present goals, objectives and strategies for improvement. You will learn what you can do to support the Work Groups in reaching their goals.
The Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) Work Group will also provide a 45 minute introduction on how and why adverse childhood experiences impact health and well-being throughout the lifespan and across generations.
