Developmental Center

Our Mission

We offer specific health and education-related services that help children, their families, and some adults live better day to day.

Audiology

Audiology is the study of hearing. Our program is for:

• Children who do not have health insurance or have insurance that does not cover this service in Frederick County
• Children who get services from:
  • Frederick County Infants and Toddlers Program
  • YMCA of Frederick County Head Start Program
  • FCPS Special Education Program

Dental

This program helps children in Frederick County who are 18 years of age and younger and who don't have dental insurance.

Infants & Toddlers Program

We provide services and support for families of children birth through 36 months of age who may or do have developmental delays, disabilities, or special health needs.

Respite

Respite services provide short-term relief for caregivers by offering help caring for someone with disabilities or chronic conditions. 

Our program provides funding of respite services for caregivers of children with special healthcare needs. This funding is only available from time to time.

School Based Services

We provide Occupational and Physical Therapy to children that go to Frederick County Public Schools.
