How to Apply
Applicants
must
complete the application
Well Permit Application
in person
at the Frederick County Health Department, Environmental Health Services.
The fee for the permit can be found on the
Fee Schedule
This fee can be paid in cash, by check made payable to Frederick County Health Department or Visa/Mastercard.
Information pertaining to the property where the well is to be drilled must be supplied on the application, including, but not limited to:
Name of owner/applicant
Mailing address
Address of property
Name of subdivision and lot number (if applicable)
It is also necessary at some point in the process to choose a licensed well driller.
The permit is issued after Health Department review and approval of any necessary plats or site plans and /or approval of the drilling location.
If there is a problem or question prior to the permit being issued, you will be contacted either by phone or by mail.
